Finding the Perfect Fit

What Size Bed Does My Dog Need?

Choosing the right size is important for your dog's comfort. Consider not only their measurements, but also how they prefer to sleep and where their new bed will sit within your home.

Measure your dog

Measure your dog from their shoulders to the base of their tail. Compare this measurement with the internal dimensions of the bed, allowing sufficient room for comfortable rest.

Consider their sleeping habits

Some dogs love to curl up in a cosy, enclosed space, while others prefer to stretch out. Choosing a size that accommodates their natural sleeping position will help them settle comfortably.

Consider your space

Our furniture is designed to complement your home. Check the external dimensions to ensure your chosen bed sits comfortably within its intended space.

To help you decide, refer to our size charts below. These charts will assist you in determining if the bed will fit comfortably in your space and whether your dog will fit in the bed.

Caring for your Leather

Regular care of your leather furniture is crucial for maintaining its appearance and durability. These guidelines offer clear instructions and recommended products for keeping your leather furniture in top condition.

Leather's quality depends on where it is cut from the hide, with top-layer, full-grain leather being the most durable and valuable. We use top-layer Italian leather, featuring a lightly buffed natural grain and a coloured protective topcoat for a soft, semi-matte finish. Follow these steps and recommendations to keep your Parker-Evans bed well-maintained.

Cleaning and Conditioning

Regular conditioning is essential for keeping leather soft, supple and protected. It helps maintain the natural finish of the leather and reduces the risk of drying, stiffness and cracking over time.

  • For normal use, condition the leather every three to six months, or more often if it is exposed to heat and sunlight.

  • For best results, use a good-quality leather care product. We provide our own leather cleaner and conditioner with every bed, and these products are also available to purchase directly from us.

  • Before conditioning, gently clean the leather to remove dust, dirt and surface marks so the conditioner can absorb properly. Avoid household cleaners, detergents, baby wipes, bleach, alcohol-based products or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish. Apply conditioner sparingly in thin, even layers.

  • Apply a small amount of conditioner to a soft cloth and gently rub it into the leather, following the grain. Allow it to absorb fully, then buff with a clean dry microfiber cloth to bring out a natural sheen.

Made to Last, Beautifully Cared For

With thoughtful care, your Parker-Evans furniture will retain its beauty, character and comfort for years to come. A little attention to the leather will help preserve its natural qualities, allowing you and your dog to enjoy a piece designed to stand the test of time.
